Job Description

Reputable AM Law Firm in Century City is seeking a legal secretary that provides advanced litigation and case management support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including case initiation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial activities. Maintains litigation calendars and dockets, tracks court deadlines, schedules hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and client meetings, and proactively monitors critical case milestones to ensure compliance with court rules and procedural requirements.

Prepares, edits, proofreads, formats, and files a wide range of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, summonses, exhibits, and trial materials. Manages electronic filing (e-filing) and service of court documents in federal, state, and administrative courts while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable filing procedures.

Coordinates depositions and court appearances by scheduling attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, court reporters, interpreters, expert witnesses, and vendors. Organizes and maintains case files, discovery databases, exhibits, evidence, witness materials, and correspondence. Assists with document production, review, and organization during discovery, including preparing exhibit binders, trial notebooks, witness files, and hearing materials.

Performs cite-checking, proofreading, and quality control reviews of legal documents to ensure adherence to court requirements and firm standards. Tracks litigation expenses, coordinates service vendors and couriers, manages confidential case information, and serves as a key liaison among attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal support teams. Provides comprehensive trial support, including courtroom logistics, exhibit management, witness coordination, and preparation of final trial and closing binders.

Hybrid Schedule, and must have a minumum of 3 years of legal secretary experience.
